In general we are happy with how the format feels. There are plenty of options available at a variety of power levels. Nothing that has come out in the past 6 months has given us any new cause for concern to warrant any action, or even any discussion of potential future bans. We also feel that at this point our banlist is reduced to the point where unbanning any of the remaining cards could cause a large amount of unnecessary turmoil. Our current goal is to keep the format consistent and minimize any major changes.
We have one piece of rules upkeep to address. As part of the Edge of Eternities rules update earlier this fall, all cards with power and toughness printed on them became legal to be commanders. This normally wouldn’t affect Oathbreaker, however this also caused the errata of Shorikai, Genesis Engine to remove the text “Shorikai, Genesis Engine can be your commander.” Without this text, Shorikai, Genesis Engine can no longer be your Oathbreaker.
